I was lucky enough to get Finn when he was a little over 9 weeks old.  He was my first large sized sighthound.  My only other experience with living with sighthounds had been with our Basenji, Tips, who is anything but typical. He has brought me nothing but joy.  He is very affectionate and sweet tempered getting along well with both adults and children, cats and other dogs, both male and female.  He seems to have boundless energy outside and is a perfect gentleman inside.  His favorite activity is spending time in our fenced-in yard.  Inside he spends hours watching out the window for a squirrel or bird.  He is incredibly agile and has both speed and strength.  Fortunately, although he likes to jump up to see over the top of our 6 foot privacy fence, he has shown no inclination to jump over it.    He is very smart and learned early on to ring a bell hung on the door knob to let us know he wants to go out.  He has even used that trick to steal my seat on the sofa. :-)  At heart he is a big baby and frequently sleeps in our bed under the covers with his head resting on my feet.  Finn just turned three years old.  He weighs approximately 65lbs. is 27 and 1/2" tall and has a chest girth of 32".  Please take a few moments to see the other photos of our Finn and check out our other Ibizan Hound, Finn's half-sister, Killian.  The photo pages may take a few minutes to load.
